Director and Line Producer Frank Waldeck shared some pictures from the set of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, including cast and crew members. Several of these photos feature CSI Files’ own Shane Saunders. Director Jeffrey Hunt also shared a picture from pre-production for an upcoming episode. The images at the end of the set are from the Facebook page for the Allie the Ally Project, which is an LBTGQ alliance group. Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) posted two pictures and two more videos for CBS Social Sweep Week. The first picture features Set Technical Consultant Larry Mitchell, who also appears on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Officer Mitchell—a fitting role for a man who was once a Sergeant with the LA County Sheriff’s Department. CSI Files has learned that Larry Mitchell took part in writing one of this season’s first episodes. Mitchell is best known for playing Officer Mitchell on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, a role he’s portrayed since 2005. In addition to appearing onscreen he’s also worked on the series as a technical consultant and set technical consultant. His first story credit will be for episode two, which is tentatively titled “Tell-Tale Hearts.” Joe Pokaski, who is new to the writing staff this season, wrote the teleplay.
As CSI Files previously reported, episode three is titled “Bittersweet.” We have now learned that the episode–which starts filming today–was written by Melissa R. Byer and Treena Hancock.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation co-executive producer Dustin Lee Abraham shared some older set pictures on Twitter. The first image is from the set of season eight’s “Drops’ Out” and features Abraham alongside George Eads (Nick Stokes), actor and technical consultant Larry Mitchell (Officer Mitchell) and guest star Method Man. The next three pictures are from the season eight finale “For Gedda” and feature Eads as well as Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass) and former actors William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown). CBS posted a picture of Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) behind the scenes of tonight’s episode, “Hunting Ground”, which he wrote and directed. The picture also features leading man David Caruso (Horatio Caine). Producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared two images from the set of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The first picture features tech advisors Larry Mitchell and Richard Catalani, and the second includes cast members Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass), George Eads (Nick Stokes), Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) and Marc Vann (Conrad Ecklie).
