"Dead Letter" and "The Third Man" sneak peeks

NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans are offering the penultimate episodes of the season tonight from 8:00-10:00pm ET/PT. You can find sneak peeks, quotes, tweets and photos below!

Here’s the first scene from the NCIS episode “Dead Letter”, featuring Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Senior FBI Agent TC Fornell (Joe Spano), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). (You can also find it on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)

Clip number two features Bishop, Tony and guest stars Taja V Simpson (Misha Rose) and Vince Nappo (Jacob Scott). (It’s also available on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)

As CSI Files previously reported, Weatherly is leaving NCIS at the end of season thirteen. Here’s a video from CBS, offering a look at “Tony DiNozzo’s Top Moments”—following an introductory video featuring Weatherly. (You can also watch it on CBS.com.)

Tonight’s episode introduces two new characters, both of whom have the potential to return in season 14 following Tony’s departure. Sarah Clarke will play Tess Monroe, an FBI agent who recently transferred to DC from New York City. She’s a no-nonsense character with a big heart, and she fights to protect her team and do what’s right. Here’s a statement from Executive Producer Gary Glasberg:

We feel so fortunate to have Sarah Clarke joining us to play Tess. I’ve been a fan of her’s going back to 24 and, more recently, Bosch. She’s a gifted actress, a total pro, and we can’t wait to introduce her to our NCIS family and have some fun.

The other new character being introduced in “Dead Letter” is Clayton Reeves, who will be portrayed by Duane Henry. A successful MI-6 agent with blue collar roots, Clayton is offbeat and confident—but he has burned some bridges in the international intelligence community. Despite this, the agent owns up to his choices and works to do the right thing. Here’s a statement from Glasberg:

We think we found something really special in Duane Henry. His unique blend of charm, heart and athletic physicality is going to be a great addition to the mix. Everyone at NCIS is excited to have him join us.

The penultimate episode of the season continues the ongoing storyline about an escaped British spy targeting agents around the world. The case took the team to England last week, and now it’s back to the United States—ultimately leading toward Tony’s departure in next week’s season finale. As Glasberg told E! Online:

That manhunt is responsible for also involving the FBI and MI 6, which is where our two new characters come into play. Tess Monroe, played by Sarah Clarke, is an FBI agent who’s working in conjunction with Joe Spano’s character, Fornell. She’s very involved with the case and she works with our team and she’s full of fire and cynicism and sarcasm and wit and energy and is extremely experienced and just a lot of fun and feels really organic to our group.
