This Week On ‘CSI’

With the Olympics in full swing, the franchise will air repeats of the three-series crossover this week. CSI: Miami will air “Bone Voyage” on Monday at 10:00pm ET/PT, CSI: New York will follow on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT with “Hammer Down”, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will round out the week with “The Lost Girls” on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT. The crossover found Dr Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) travelling to Miami and New York in search of a missing girl before heading back to Las Vegas to solve the mystery.

The ‘CSI’ Crossover Finale Tops In Viewers

The latest episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation—and the final part of the three-series crossover—“The Lost Girls” topped the 9:00pm hour in overall viewers on Thursday, November 12. The episode pulled in 16.89 million viewers, which put it ahead of Grey’s Anatomy (14.38 million), NBC’s combination of The Office (7.76 million) and 30 Rock (5.78 million), Fringe (5.95 million) and Supernatural (2.77 million). In the 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Grey’s (5.4 rating/13 share) earned the top spot over CSI (4.0/10), the 3.5/9 average for Office and Rock, Fringe (2.2/5) and Supernatural (1.3/3).

‘New York’ Comes In Second Behind CMAs

The second episode of the three-series crossover, CSI: New York‘s “Hammer Down”, was up slightly in the ratings from the crossover’s first episode. The ratings were also a marked increase from the last episode of New York. Despite the increase, the episode took second place behind the 43rd Annual CMA Awards. The awards pulled in 15.85 million viewers during the 10:00pm hour, and it earned a 5.0 rating/13 share in the key 18-49 demographic for that time period. CSI: NY had 13.92 million viewers and 3.7/10. NBC’s The Jay Leno Show was third for the hour with 4.59 million viewers and 1.4/ 4.

‘Miami’ Earns The Top Spot As The Crossover Begins

The latest episode of CSI: Miami, “Bone Voyage”, earned the top spot in viewers and the key demo to get the three-series crossover started on the right track. The episode pulled in 13.83 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/11 share among adults 18-49. This put it ahead of Castle (10.72 million, 2.5/7) and The Jay Leno Show (3.96 million, 1.2/3).
