‘CSI’ Stars Offer ‘Insider’ Info About The Premiere

2 min read

CSI Files previously posted pictures from the set of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation featuring Brooke Anderson from The Insider. Anderson spoke to Ted Danson (DB Russell), Elisabeth Shue (Julie Finlay), George Eads (Nick Stokes) and Elisabeth Harnois (Morgan Brody), and the full interview is now available. You can find the video embedded after the jump!

Tonight’s season thirteen premiere, “Karma to Burn”, picks up where “Homecoming” left off. “The first episode is actually really exciting, very action-packed,” Danson told the Insider. “There’s this great side to my character that comes out in the first episode—where there’s some violence in the man that he probably has kept tapped down in life.”

Meanwhile, Eads described his character as a “modern-day superhero for justice” who is fed up with the “corruption and half-truths” that surround him at work. Nick decided to quit his job in “Homecoming”, but fans haven’t seen the last of the CSI. “I think my character is not the kind of guy that would leave the team in peril or that would leave the team when they needed him most,” Eads explained.

Shue has been having a blast on the set of CSI, and she enjoys getting to play a “sassy” single character on the crime drama. “It’s great to be single and look around all the time and see who I can flirt with,” she revealed. “I have a sexy new boyfriend on the show, Enrique (Murciano, Detective Carlos Moreno), and I was kidnapped by another sexy vice cop in the premiere episode, so that’s exciting.”

For Harnois, season thirteen is providing her with the chance to go on intense emotional and physical journeys as a character. She explained that while fans may enjoy the procedural aspects of the show, viewers also have to be able to “relate” to the characters. “It’s really important for us to develop them and make the audience attached to what we’re going through,” she explained. “Otherwise, there’s no real reason to tune in.”
