Sinise: Working On ‘CSI:NY’ Has Been A Gratifying Experience

2 min read

CSI: New York’s leading man Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) wrote a column for the Chicago Sun-Times to coincide with tonight’s season nine finale, “Today is Life”. The actor shares a bit about the episode, and thanks the fans for tuning in over the past nine years. New York’s future remains uncertain right now, but there can be no doubt that Sinise is grateful for his time on the crime drama:

When I first signed on for the series in 2004, I had no idea how I’d feel if I ended up being fortunate enough to be a part of it for many years. Now, I can truly say that it’s been a gratifying experience, and that I’ve really enjoyed playing the character of Mac Taylor. He’s a man of integrity and strength and I’m proud to say that he’s based on many members of our police, fire and military communities. And working with our cast — Sela Ward (Jo Danville), Eddie Cahill (Don Flack), Anna Belknap (Lindsay Messer), Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer), Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes), AJ Buckley (Adam Ross), Robert Joy (Dr Sid Hammerback) and most recently, Natalie Martinez (Jamie Lovato) and Megan Dodds (Christine Whitney) — has been just wonderful. We have an amazing team of writers who continue to impress and I thank them all, as well as our fantastic crew, for another great season.

Be sure to check out the full piece on the Chicago Sun-Times website.
