NCIS: Los Angeles aired the first two episodes of season eight last night, “High-Value Target” and “Belly of the Beast”. As CSI Files previously reported, the two-hour premiere was scheduled to start 30 minutes later in the Eastern and Central timezones to accommodate an NFL doubleheader, with 21 extra minutes of delays in those viewing areas. For this reason, there are likely to be significant adjustments when the final ratings are released. According to the current overnight ratings, the show pulled in 9.44 million viewers from 9:00-11:00pm ET, earning a 1.4 rating/5 share in the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers. Edit: The final ratings have been counted, and NCIS: LA’s two-hour premiere adjusted up to 10.34 million viewers and 1.5/5.

If you missed the premiere episodes, or would like to watch them again, they are available on CBS.com or GlobalTV.
