As CSI Files previously reported, NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans will return from the winter haitus with back-to-back new episodes on January 5. That night, both shows will participate in a two-hour crossover event, which includes the introduction of Abby Sciuto’s (Pauley Perrette) adopted brother Luca. Luca will be played by Tyler Ritter (The McCarthys), and Executive Producer Gary Glasberg had this to say about Ritter’s casting:
Occasionally you find the perfect actor for a role, and casting Tyler Ritter as Abby’s brother couldn’t be better. Tyler embodies everything we were looking for in Luca Sciuto. He’s warm, caring, funny, eccentric, offbeat and inquisitive. We are thrilled to have him for this very special crossover episode of NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans.
