The two-hour series finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “Immortality”, will air on Sunday, September 27 at 9:00pm ET/PT. CBS has shared several promos for the TV movie, which you can watch below. The first is a 20-second preview, followed by a longer version:

Both promos feature the song “Can’t Stop Us Now” by Machines of Flesh and Blood, which you can find here, or listen to the song below:

Entertainment Weekly spoke to the original cast members about the end of CSI’s 15-year run, including comments from William Petersen (Gil Grissom), Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle), Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders), Robert David Hall (Dr Al Robbins) and Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass). Here’s the quote from Petersen:

This movie happened very fast. We didn’t have much time to really cogitate about it. They put us in a little bit of bind, cramming it together and getting it done. But that’s appropriate because that’s how it was when we first created the drama in the first place. Nobody had a template for it. It wasn’t one of those shows from Aaron Sorkin or David Chase where someone had been thinking about this for 10 years and knew exactly how they wanted it to be. Creator Anthony Zuiker had never done TV before. Even [then CBS Entertainment president and now CBS Corp. chairman] Les Moonves was like, ‘I don’t get it, you are going to dust for fingerprints? That’s the show?’ Well, yeah. Right off the bat, it was all about the evidence. It can be cool. We always talked about how much of a kismet it was. It was the right idea, at the right time, with the right people, at the right place and we weren’t bothered by anybody. The network left us alone because they didn’t think it would be much of a deal. They put us on at 9 on Friday nights. Nobody really knew what we were doing.

And here are two tweets, including a reminder about Wednesday’s PaleyFest tribute:
