CSI: Cyber aired a new episode last night, along with the season finale of Criminal Minds. You can find ratings and video links after the jump, plus a Cyber promo and some Minds quotes and photos!

CSI: Cyber aired the tenth episode of the season at 10:00pm ET/PT. “Click Your Poison” was watched by 7.45 million viewers and earned a 1.2/4 in the key demo. This is up slightly in viewers from last week, and the demo score is consistent with the previous episode. If you missed the episode or would like to watch it again, it’s available on CBS.com, XFinity TV or CTV. Here’s the promo for the first of three episodes airing next week:

The final episode of Criminal Minds’ tenth season, “The Hunt”, aired at 9:00pm ET/PT. The episode pulled in 9.63 million viewers and a 1.9 rating/6 share in the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers. You can watch “The Hunt” on CBS.com, XFinity TV or CTV. Criminal Minds has not yet been renewed for next season, but the network should make an announcement next week.

Executive Producer Erica Messer spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Jennifer Love Hewitt (Kate Callahan) leaving the BAU after one season, due to the actress’s real life pregnancy. Here’s an excerpt:

Jennifer wanted to be able to give this second baby everything she gave her first, and that’s taking time off to be a full-time mom. Because she’s due in July, when we would start shooting season 11, timing-wise there was no way for her to do both, to be able to give that baby everything she wanted to give that baby and still be on our show. We wrote to that, and that’s how season 10 ends. It’s a bittersweet idea of “life is full of choices and they define who you are.” She makes the decision to leave the team for a while. It’s really lovely and real, not only because it was happening off-screen, but because I know those things happen in real life too.

AJ Cook (JJ Jareau) is also pregnant, and like Hewitt, her pregnancy has been written into the show. It was revealed in the finale that JJ is expecting, and the show will have to deal with Cook’s maternity leave at the beginning of season eleven. “It depends on when she actually has the baby,” Messer told Zap2It. “Shooting starts the first or second week in July. So if she has the baby the end of July, we’ll have to figure out how much time she’ll want. My guess is it will probably be the first five episodes.”

One option is to leave Kate’s position unoccupied and bring in guest stars to round out the team and entertain fans, especially while Cook is gone. Messer spoke to TV Guide about the show moving forward, including this quote:

Do you have any other general ideas percolating for Season 11?

Messer: Because it’s Season 11, we want to focus on them a little bit more. That’s why I think it might also be a good idea to leave [the position] open so we don’t have to spend time introducing a new character for fans, but really dive into these people we’ve known and loved for 10 years. I think there are also conversations to be had about people who have come and gone in the past 10 years and bringing people back. It’s just the acknowledgment of this is what happens after 10 years of working somewhere and people do come and go. It’s like what we did with Gideon — in that case and writing to the reality of that. I think we’ll be seeing more familiar faces next year.
