And here’s the synopsis, followed by the official details:

The cyber team investigates when a car service company’s dispatch software is hacked in order to target certain passengers.

Former CSI Co-Executive Producer Richard Lewis directed the episode; he previously helmed 44 episodes of the flagship series, most recently season nine’s “Turn, Turn, Turn”. “Killer En Route” was written by Kate Sargeant Curtis and Thomas Hoppe, based on a story by Producer Matt Whitney and Brandon Guercio. Curtis and Guercio served as story editors on the first two episodes of the season, “Kidnapping 2.0” and “CMND:\Crash”, while Hoppe penned two episodes of the original CSI (“CSI on Fire”, “Keep Calm and Carry-On”). This is Whitney’s first writing credit for the franchise.

The following guest stars will appear in the episode:

Tripp Pickell as Richard Davis
Angela Trimbur as Francine
Anne Leighton as Regina
Jackson Davis as Cade Matthews
Trevor St John as Derrick Wilson
Jani Wang as Receptionist
James C Burns as Detective Brian Linney
Aaron Abrams as Patrick Murphy
Anthony M Bertram as Dante Jermaine

This is Angela Trimbur’s first appearance as Daniel Krumitz’s (Charley Koontz) sister Francine. Anne Leighton guest-starred on CSI (“Sqweegel”) and CSI: Miami (“Special Delivery”). Jackson Davis has appeared on CSI (“The Panty Sniffer”) and CSI: New York (“Heart of Glass”). James C. Burns was in the CSI: NY episode “The Deep” during the show’s fourth season. The other actors are new to the franchise.

CSI isn’t on the schedule this week, nor are they airing repeats of any of the aforementioned series on Saturday.
