‘The Last Ride’ Official Details, Plus What’s On This Week

Here is the cast list and official details for the episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation airing this Tuesday night, plus what’s on Criminal Minds. (NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans have repeats on the schedule.)

NCIS: Los Angeles will re-air “Praesidium” from earlier this season tonight at 9:59pm ET/PT. Here’s the episode synopsis (more information here):

The NCIS: LA team takes action to protect one of their own while being interrogated by the Department of Justice. Meanwhile, Nell goes undercover as Hetty, and Director Leon Vance gives Hetty disturbing news while she is in Washington.


NCIS will air a repeat of this season’s “So It Goes” on Tuesday at 8:00pm ET/PT. Here’s the episode description (more information here):

When an NCIS case reveals a connection to Ducky’s estranged childhood best friend, he and Special Agent Bishop travel to London for interviews with family and co-workers of his friend. While there, Ducky finds himself reminiscing about the choices he made in his past and the subsequent impact they had on his adult life.


NCIS: NOLA will follow with a repeat from 9:00-10:01pm ET/PT on Tuesday. Here’s the episode description for “It Happened Last Night” (more information here):

The NCIS team is given a 22-hour deadline after the murder investigation of a Chief Warrant Officer who specialized in counterintelligence reveals his wife had been kidnapped and is being held for ransom. Meanwhile, Senior FBI Agent Fornell travels to the Big Easy to assist with the case.


As CSI Files previously reported, CSI is on a special night and time this week. “The Last Ride” will air at 10:00pm ET/PT on Tuesday, following the NCIS and NCIS: NOLA repeats. First, check out the episode promo below:

The CSI team investigates a death involving a vintage Rolls Royce and a chrome-covered victim.

This is the first time Tim Beavers has directed an episode of CSI, but he’s been a camera operator for the show since season seven. “The Last Ride” was written by Co-Executive Producer Gavin Harris, whose 12 previous credits include “Dead Rails” from earlier this season.

Alimi Ballard is back as Detective Crawford. James Aldridge last appeared as Jimmy, an assistant coroner, in season twelve’s “Crime After Crime”. Matthew Glave previously guest-starred on CSI (“Hollywood Brass”) and CSI: Miami (“At Risk”). Travis Schuldt was in the CSI: New York episode “Clean Sweep” during the show’s eighth season, and Tracy Fraim guest-starred in season seven’s “To What End?” Karen Sillas appeared in the Miami episode “Dead Woman Walking” during season one. The other actors are new to the franchise.


On Wednesday, Criminal Minds offers “Nelson’s Sparrow” at 9:00pm ET/PT. Here’s the episode description (more information here):

The BAU revisits its origins when they look at one of Rossi and Gideon’s old cases to track a killer that got away.

CBS also has some repeats on the schedule this weekend. The Criminal Minds episode “X” (info here) will air Saturday night at 9:00pm ET/PT. On Sunday night, while the Super Bowl airs on NBC, the CBS primetime schedule from 8:00-11:00pm ET/PT consists of repeats of NCIS (“Twenty Klicks”, info here), CSI (“The Book of Shadows”, official details available here) and Criminal Minds (“Burn”, episode info here).

  1. Can you tell us who is singing the song “Round and round we go” during the autopsy scene? Not in the credits, and Shazam didn’t list it.
