Here’s a collection of news relating to NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans, Criminal Minds and NCIS: Los Angeles that has been shared over the past month. (Contains 50+ embedded tweets, photos and videos!)

NCIS

CSI Files previously reported that the eleventh season of NCIS would be released on DVD on August 19. According to TVShowsOnDVD, that date has been confirmed. Check out this list of special features: audio commentary by Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs), Pauley Perrette (Abby Scuito), Sean Murray (Timothy McGee), and Executive Producers Gary Glasberg and Frank Cardea; featurettes called “Celebrating 250” and “NCIS in New Orleans”; and extra scenes. You can see the official cover art below (click to see it enlarged):

Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo) appears in the June issue of CBS Watch magazine. The article can be found here or here, and you can read a quote about his NCIS character below:

The fact that Tony’s screwed up keeps it interesting. He has this adolescent fear of women, so his hostility comes from an interesting, fractured place. I try to make him a competent federal agent as often as possible, but what’s most interesting to me is when he is just madly inappropriate because he’s broken as a human being.

I guess I should qualify this by saying that we all have a version of ourselves in our mind’s eye that we project onto the world, and more often than not that completely doesn’t sync up with what the world is seeing. Tony’s deeply unaware of what he’s projecting. That identity crisis makes my job more interesting.

Here’s a video offering a look behind the scenes of the shoot:

Also check out a few images below:

TVGN’s new series Watch! TV featured a look behind-the-scenes of a previous photo shoot Weatherly did in London. You can watch a video below, featuring the actor taking a look around the city:

Finally, here’s a question from TV Line:

Are there going to be any life-changing events for any of Gibbs’ team members during Season 12 of NCIS? –Marsha

I don’t know if the storyline surrounding this reveal will be “life-changing” per se, but show boss Gary Glasberg tells me he still is on track to put a face to the long-MIA Mrs. Gibbs No. 2 during Season 12 — as well as unveil another never-seen spouse. “I look forward to introducing [Gibbs’ second ex-wife], and I look forward to meeting Bishop’s husband,” he shares. And along those lines, “We’re already playing with some ideas that I think are going to be fun for people.”

NCIS: NOLA

Leading man Scott Bakula (Dwayne Cassius Pride) is officially on Twitter. Here’s his first and only tweet so far:

Gary Glasberg told The Advocate that NCIS: New Orleans will film all 13 episodes of its first season on location. “I can’t replicate New Orleans and do it as well as I want,” he explained. “It’s such a unique part of the world that I feel very fortunate that we can film this there. Everything will be done in Louisiana.”

Finally, check out these other tweets, including several from the official writers’ account:

Criminal Minds

CSI Files previously reported that the ninth season of Criminal Minds would be released on DVD on August 26. According to TVShowsOnDVD, that date has been confirmed, along with these special features: deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a featurette called “Eyes Only”. Here’s the cover art—click to see it full-sized:

Joe Mantegna spoke to Zap2It about the upcoming tenth season. Here’s an excerpt:

Zap2it: You directed an episode for the first time this past season. Do you think you’ll direct the show again next season?

Joe Mantegna: I actually know I will. They asked me if I would do another one, and I agreed, so I’ll do that around mid-November, and it will probably air sometime after the holidays. I have some ideas that I’m going to throw around with them.

Check out this question from TV Line:

Question: Is Spencer Reid going to get happiness in the new season of Criminal Minds (for example: a new love interest)? He really needs to catch a break for once. –Diana

Ausiello: I don’t know about any romantic developments, but if show boss Erica Messer has her way, we may witness happier days for Reid and his mother Diana, whose mental condition, it has been hinted, is improving. “I’ve been dying to revisit Jane Lynch’s character forever, and now that Glee’s going to be in its last season that might be more possible,” Messer told us. “She’s at the top of our list.” (Messer also confirmed that Reid’s portrayer, Matthew Gray Gubler, is locked in to direct the usual two episodes next season.)

Gubler is in the June 2014 issue of Glamour Magazine. You can see the scans here.

AJ Cook is on the cover of the UK magazine Within this month. Check out the cover below, and you can find the digital version of the magazine here (skip to pages 34-35 for Cook’s interview).

While in Monaco for the Monte Carlo Television Festival, Cook did an interview about Criminal Minds. You can read the translation here, and check out this excerpt:

You still have lots of years to your contract?

AJ Cook: All our contracts will end at the end of Season 10. It will be very interesting to see what will happen (laugh!) Maybe it will be the last one! But we are all back for Season 10. For Season 11, who knows what will happen…!

Also be sure to watch this interview with Cook:

Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan) just finished filming The Bounce Back, which is scheduled to come out next year. In addition to starring in the movie, Moore is an executive producer on the project. Check out this interview from Shadow and Act—here’s an excerpt:

It’s been an exciting five weeks. Without sounding corny, it’s kind of a dream come true. Wearing an executive producer hat, I’ve gotten a firsthand look at how hard it is to get a movie made. It’s nice to be on this side and see it because I’ve always been on the acting side, where you just audition, learn your lines and show up to work, but you don’t really know the machine of how it’s all put together.

And here are several photos Moore posted from the set:

NCIS: LA

CSI Files previously reported that the fifth season of NCIS: LA would be released on DVD on August 19. According to TVShowsOnDVD, that date has been confirmed. Fox bought the comedy spec This Is Me, which has Olsen attached as a producer.

Ruah is in the June issue of CBS Watch magazine. You can read the article here, or check out the scans.

Ruah also did an interview with CARAS magazine, and you can find the English translation (with links to the original scans) here. The interview discusses the actress’s wedding plans.

Chris O’Donnell (G Callen) sat down with VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live on June 3, and you can watch the interview below:

O’Donnell also visited Fox and Friends earlier this month. Here’s the interview, followed by several photos from Twitter:

This tweet links to an album featuring images from a recent photoshoot O’Donnell did for Live Happy magazine:

Foa is currently in his hometown of New York City to perform in the one-man Off-Broadway show Buyer & Cellar during NCIS: LA’s summer hiatus. “This is the dream,” he told Next Magazine. “I know LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell were like, ‘Are you fucking kidding me? I would never, ever do that with my vacation,’ but that all the more just makes me kinda wanna do it. I just love the challenge. That’s how you grow.”

Foa also spoke to Newsday about Buyer & Cellar as well as Los Angeles. Here’s a quote about his TV co-stars:

Who are you most likely to hang out with at the commissary?

Renée Felice Smith. We have a lot of scenes together. Plus, she’s from the theater world in New York, went to NYU. We’re super-tight.

Who intimidated you the most, at first?

LL Cool J. he’s just so physically …

Huge?

He’s like a brick wall. But when he walks into a room, he makes everyone feel comfortable. He’s so charming, engaging. But it’s like … wow, I listened to your rap music in high school. Then, there’s Linda Hunt, who’s 4-foot-whatever and has an Oscar. That’s imposing, too. But they’re both great.

LL Cool J was at the Tony Awards on June 8, and you can watch him rap with TI and host Hugh Jackman below:

Here’s a short article from CBS Watch featuring some of LL Cool J’s favorite things.
