Check out this interview with AJ Cook (JJ Jareau) from Starpulse, in which she discusses the Criminal Minds premiere, “The Inspiration”, and season 9. Here’s an excerpt:

There’s some really great action in the premiere. We got to do this fun car chase. Shemar [Moore (Derek Morgan)] and myself, we are sort of weaving in and out of traffic. We almost get hit by a truck. That was actually Shemar driving – and I think you can see it in my face. Fearing for my life, holding onto the car like my life depended on it! But that was a lot of fun. I love doing action stuff.

TV Line also spoke with Cook, who talked about guest stars and the show’s upcoming 200th episode. Here’s a hint about tonight’s premiere:

TVLINE | Talk about what Camryn Manheim (The Practice) is doing in the first two episodes. She plays the mother of the UnSub, and it turns out she is very protective over her son – her son who happens to be killing women who look like his ex-girlfriend. It’s a two-parter [continuing Oct. 2),and Camryn is just great — it was lovely to have her on our set.

Finally, check out one last interview with Cook, from Zap2It. Here’s an excerpt about the premiere:

We have a lot of pieces left to put back together, right from the first episode, and we’re not going to disappoint, We hit the ground running, but this is really a season about the fans. We want the fans who have been following us all this time to really learn more about who these characters are, and how all of our stories intertwine.
