George Eads (Nick Stokes) will not appear in part of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s upcoming fourteenth season. (Minor spoilers after the jump.)
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Eads got into an argument with one of CSI’s writers over the creative direction of his character. The actor allegedly threatened to quit the long-running series, but the studio has confirmed that Eads will be back later in the season. Nick will appear in the first three episodes of season 14, and his absence will be explained in episode four when it is revealed that Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) has chosen him to receive special training at Quantico. There is no official word on how long Eads will be gone, but a rep for CBS TV Studios told the Hollywood Reporter, “George Eads will not appear in several episodes during the first half of the season. We look forward to him returning to CSI very soon.”
