Gary Dourdan Won’t Appear In Upcoming Installment

1 min read

CSI Files was first to report that an upcoming installment of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, written by Tom Mularz, will feature a case connected to Warrick Brown; I have now learned that original cast member Gary Dourdan, who left the show in 2008, will not make a cameo appearance in the November episode.

Executive producer Don McGill revealed to me this past July that “We’re looking at a very cool story that would involve Nick [George Eads] being brought in on a murder case involving someone close to Warrick’s ex-wife.” Dourdan, who played the CSI who suffered from an addiction to gambling for just over eight seasons, recently landed a recurring role on the upcoming ABC series Mistresses, his first major role since exiting CSI after his character was killed by Undersheriff McKeen.

TV Guide Magazine recently published an article elaborating on the November sweeps episode. Eads spoke with William Keck and said, “I love the idea of keeping Warrick’s memory alive.” Unfortunately for fans hoping to see Warrick Brown in flashback sequences at the very least, it seems that it won’t be happening anytime soon.
