‘Willows in the Wind’ & ‘Terminal Velocity’ Official Details

The franchise offers two new episodes this week, featuring an emotional farewell and the death of a skydiver. Official plot details and cast lists can be found after the jump.

Marg Helgenbergers final episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation“Willows in the Wind,” starts things off this Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT:

The CSI team says goodbye to Catherine Willows as she makes a life-changing decision.

Producer Alec Smight has directed 24 previous episodes of CSI, most recently last month’s “Zippered.” Executive Story Editor Christopher Barbour and Co-Executive Producer Richard Catalani wrote the teleplay based on a story by executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Don McGill. Barbour has seven previous credits, including last week’s “Ms Willows Regrets.”  McGill also took part in last week’s episode. This marks McGill’s fourth credit for the series and Mendelsohn’s first since last season’s “Sqweegel.” Catalani has 23 episodes under his belt, the most recent being “Crime After Crime.”

Marc Vann, Larry Mitchell, Jon Wellner, and Larry Sullivan are reprising established recurring roles. Matt Lauria, Titus Welliver, Annabeth Gish, and Jack Dimich appeared in last week’s episode. Tangie Ambrose is back as prostitute Miss Kitty, who was last seen in “Death and the Maiden.” James Black has guest-starred on CSI: New York (“A Daze of Wine and Roaches”) and CSI: Miami (“Invasion”). Jess Allen guest-starred in “Tales From the Undercard” during New York‘s sixth season. Rod Rowland appeared in CSI‘s “You’ve Got Male” as a different character, and on CSI: Miami (“Blood Lust”).

On Friday, CSI: New York will air a repeat of “Keep It Real” at 9:00pm ET/PT. When an awkward teen was found dead, the team discovered that his efforts to win a sexy punk rock chick’s heart may have gone a step too far.

The thrill of skydiving takes a new turn when CSI: Miami airs “Terminal Velocity” on Sunday at 10:00pm ET/PT:

When a skydiver is murdered, the CSIs discover that he has more than 100 children and all of them are suspects.

Sylvian White directed the episode, which marks his first for the series. “Terminal Velocity” was written by Robert Hornak and Supervising Producer Brian Davidson. Hornak has one previous credit for the series, “In Plane Sight,” from Miami‘s eighth season. Since 2004, Davidson has garnered 20 writing credits, the most recent being “Blown Away” from earlier this season.

Ron Melendez previously appeared on CSI (“Homebodies”) and New York (“Right Next Door”). Romy Rosemont was a recurring on CSI as lab technician Jacqui Franco. Brian White played a different character on Miami‘s “Head Case” in 2009. The other actors and actresses are new to the franchise.

“Willows in the Wind,” the repeat of “Keep It Real,” and “Terminal Velocity” begin airing January 25 on CBS.
