CSI: Miami actress Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) will return to her soap opera roots with a multi-episode appearance on the cancelled ABC drama All My Children this summer.
La Rue played Dr Maria Santos Grey on All My Children from 1993-1997, and then from 2002-2005. She guest-starred on the daytime drama last year as part of the show’s 40th anniversary celebration, and now TV Guide reports that she will be heading back to the set one last time before the series ends in September. La Rue is one of several former cast members who will reprise their roles on the soap opera, and she will appear in an unspecified number of episodes starting in July.
“I loved my time on All My Children,” La Rue said in her recent interview with CSI Files. “That show was a family to me. I am so sad that daytime is slowly fading away. I owe so much to daytime. I learned so much about my craft and I made so many wonderful friends there and I am so sad that it is all going away.” She added, “I wish everyone over there the best of luck as they move forward. There is a lot of talent over on All My Children.”
