‘Hitting For The Cycle’ & ‘Identity Crisis’ Official Details

3 min read

The franchise offers two new episodes this week featuring a cycle of victims and a personal connection for one CSI. Official plot details and cast lists can be found after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starts out the week on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT with “Hitting for the Cycle”, and the team is on the lookout for an interesting set of victims:

A string of deaths, including a gamer found dead on his couch and a newly divorced man at the bottom of a pool, instigate a bet among the CSIs as to whether they’ve ‘hit for the cycle’—a homicide, a suicide, an accidental and a natural death all in one night.

Alec Smight has directed 19 episodes of CSI, most recently “Targets of Obsession” earlier this year. Daniel Steck and Richard Catalani co-wrote this episode. Steck has two story credits for the series, including season ten’s “Sin City Blue”. Catalani previously penned 21 CSI episodes, most recently “The List”.

The following guest stars will appear in the episode:

  • Jon Wellner as Henry Andrews
  • Travis Aaron Wade as Kevin Tilsdale
  • Ramsey Moore as Steven Pyles
  • Victor Browne as Benjamin Fowler
  • Nathalie Kelley as DJ Drang
  • Kaitlin Doubleday as Evan Ferrarri
  • Nicholas Braun as Neal Monroe
  • Ali Hillis as Olivia Fowler
  • Sal Landi as Carl Jansen

Jon Wellner is reprising his established recurring role in the lab. Sal Landi previously appeared in season three’s “High and Low”. Victor Browne was in the CSI: New York episode “Blood, Sweat and Tears” during the show’s first season, and Kaitlin Doubleday guest starred in “Tunnel Vision” during the sixth season of CSI: Miami. The other actors are new to the franchise.

On Friday, CSI: New York hits close to home for one team member in “Identity Crisis” at 9:00pm ET/PT:

Jo balances personal and professional challenges when her adopted daughter, Ellie, is the key witness in a murder investigation.

Second unit director Mike Vejar, Jr is helming his first episode this week. “Identity Crisis” was written by executive producer Pam Veasey, who has 33 previous credits for the series. Her most recent episode was this season’s “To What End?”

The episode will feature the following guest stars:

  • David James Elliott as Russ Josephson
  • Sydney Park as Ellie Danville
  • Cody Longo as Tyler Josephson
  • Laurie Fortier as Old Man
  • Taylor Kinney as Jayson Luck
  • Christopher Jacot as Harvin Garrity
  • Alexis DeLaRosa as Barry Fisk
  • Mark Gerson as Young Man
  • Justin Dray as Byron Wendle
  • Tom Riordan as Foreman

David James Elliott is back as Jo’s ex-husband Russ Josephson, who was introduced in “To What End?” Sydney Park played Ellie Danville in “Do Not Pass Go”. Laurie Fortier has appeared on Miami (“One Night Stand”) and in three episodes of CSI (most recently “Sqweegel”).

CSI: Miami will not air on Sunday. Instead, CBS will broadcast the Academy of Country Music Awards during primetime.

“Hitting for the Cycle” and “Identity Crisis” begin airing March 31 on CBS.
