‘CSI’ Gets A Visit From Louise Lombard

1 min read

Former series regular Louise Lombard will reprise her role as Sofia Curtis in at least one upcoming episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Spoilers after the jump!

Lombard was last seen in the season eight premiere, “Dead Doll”, and she’ll be back later this season to help the team hunt for escaped serial killer Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin). “Sofia’s a deputy chief now,” executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told TV Line. “She’s gotten her shield and she has a real ‘take no prisoners’ attitude.”

Sofia blames Dr Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne), Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) and Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) for Haskell’s escape from police custody. She wants to call in the FBI because she believes Haskell is no longer in Las Vegas, but Langston does not agree with her. “The episode is really about where is Nate Haskell,” Mendelsohn explained.

At this point, Lombard is only scheduled to appear in one episode of CSI during May sweeps. However, that may change. Mendelsohn “loves Louise”, and she added: “You may see her in the finale, too.”
