Sinise, Ward & Elliott Contemplate A ‘CSI:NY’ Love Triangle

1 min read

CSI: New York introduced David James Elliott as Russ Josephson, the ex-husband of newcomer Jo Danville (Sela Ward), in “To What End?” earlier this season—but is there a love triangle in the cards? (Embedded video after the jump!)

Jo wasn’t thrilled to see her ex-husband in the New York Crime Lab, but Russ has lingering feelings for her. “I guess I’m the enemy on a level to Sela because I’m the dreaded ex-husband,” Elliott told ET Canada. However, it’s possible that Jo still has feelings for her ex. Elliott added, “[M]aybe not so dreaded, who knows.”

New York has planted the seeds for a love triangle between Russ, Jo and leading man Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise), but time will tell if anything develops between the characters. For now, fans can expect a bit of tension when Elliott returns to the series later this season. “It’s fun, and you get to see a little bit of that territorial piece of Mac come out,” Ward revealed. “You have two peacocks that feel they have a little bit of ownership in very different ways.”

Sinise isn’t sure he wants to be involved in any sort of love triangle. “I don’t want to get in the middle of that,” the actor said with a laugh. “[I’m] strictly business, all business.”
