‘CSI’ Comes Second In Viewers, Fourth In The Demo

The latest episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “Turn On, Tune In, Drop Dead”, came up short in the ratings on Thursday, February 24. The series pulled in 12.48 million viewers, which put it second behind American Idol’s 21.83 million for the 9:00pm hour. Grey’s Anatomy was third with 9.09 million viewers, followed by NBC’s combination of The Office (6.20 million) and Parks and Recreation (4.65 million), with Nikita (1.99 million) rounding out the hour. In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Idol took the top spot with a 7.3 rating/20 share. This put it way ahead of Grey’s (3.3/9), NBC’s average of 2.9/8, CSI (2.7/7) and Nikita (0.8/2).
