1 min read

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation executive producer Carol Mendelsohn just sold a new crime drama to CBS. The project is currently untitled, but it is based on the Jane Whitefield suspense novels by Thomas Perry. The six book series centers around the titular Jane Whitefield, a half-white, half-Native American woman who operates as a one-person witness protection program. She helps people in danger disappear.

Craig Sweeny (Medium) will serve as writer and executive producer on the project. Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz are on board as non-writing executive producers. The series will be produced by CBS TV Studios and Carol Mendelsohn Productions.

Thanks to Shane from TalkCSI for the heads up!
