The new season gets underway as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: New York air their premiere episodes! Official plot details and cast lists after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will be the first member of the franchise to air its season premiere on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT. “Shock Waves” finds the team dealing with an explosive crime while one of their own recovers:

Langston fights for his life after being stabbed by psychopath Nate Haskell, while the other CSIs attend a funeral that turns deadly. Teen sensation Justin Bieber guest stars as Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother, a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs.

This is the sixteenth time Alec Smight has directed an episode of CSI. His most recent credit is for last season’s finale, “Meat Jekyll”. Writing duo David Weddle and Bradley Thompson penned the premiere. They have six previous writing credits, most recently for “Irradiator” from season ten.

The following guest stars will appear in “Shock Waves”:

  • Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle
  • Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie
  • Alex Carter as Detective Vartann
  • Justin Bieber as Jason McCann
  • Bill Irwin as Nate Haskell
  • Sienna Guillory as Kacey Monahan

This is the first of two planned episodes for teen singing sensation Justin Bieber. Set medic Jeffrey D Stevens has been in six previous episodes of CSI, most recently last season’s “Death and the Maiden”. Pete Gardner appeared in the CSI: New York episode “The Dove Commission” during the show’s first season. Jude Ciccolella was also in the first season of New York, guest starring as Nick Vicenzo in “Officer Blue”. Lindsay Pulsipher was in “Down the Rabbit Hole” during CSI: NY’s fourth season.

On Friday at 9:00pm ET/PT, CSI: New York will debut season seven on its new night and time. “The 34th Floor” introduces a new investigator and reveals the fate of the Messer Family:

The newest member of the CSI team, Jo Danville (Sela Ward), a former FBI agent, is welcomed to her new job by stumbling upon the body of a young woman murdered somewhere in the building that houses the NYPD Crime Lab.

Duane Clark directed “The 34th Floor”, which marks his eighth time helming an episode of New York. His most recent credit is for last season’s finale, “Vacation Getaway”. Executive producer Pam Veasey penned the episode along with John Dove. Veasey has 31 previous credits (including “Point of View”), and Dove has 11 (including “Unusual suspects”).

“The 34th Floor” will feature the following actors and actresses in guest-starring roles:
