Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) hopes to visit CSI: Miami after his departure.
As CSI Files previously reported, Rodriguez will be saying goodbye to Miami after appearing in ten episodes during the upcoming eighth season. However, that doesn’t mean Eric will be gone for good. “It’s going to be left open-ended,” Rodriguez explained. “We want to be able to go back and satisfy the fans every once in a while, and pop into CSI land and say hello.”
“I’ve had a great run — seven years of having fun and getting to work with people I love every day,” the actor continued. “But sometimes those are the growing pains you have to go through to move on to bigger and better things. I’m looking forward to seeing what that is.”
The actor still has Miami episodes to film, but he is already expanding his career. He has a role in the new Tyler Perry film I Can Do Bad All By Myself, which is currently in theaters, and he will appear in at least five episodes of the ABC series Ugly Betty. “I know fans are going to be disappointed,” says Rodriguez. “They always motivate me and show me tremendous love. I just hope they’re happy for me and follow me to whatever’s next.”
