I wish I could go on a twenty minute rampage about how I was screwed by Orange Julius, but work has been keeping me so busy I don't even have time for bad experiences anymore. So for now, I'll leave you with this: friends don't let friends perm their hair. I think the entire decade known as the 80s is the perfect poster child for this little styling atrocity. So remember, next time you're at Wallgreens and your friend wonders if she'd look good with mega curly hair, when her hair is already curly, "Pass the key."

Petersen Creatively Invigorated By 'CSI' William Petersen has been around the acting block a couple of times, but two years ago, he found CSI to be a nice change of pace. "Acting in movies, it's way too much sitting in the trailer. That's stale for me and this is fresh and invigorating and dangerous and a constant creative battle. I mean, literally, 24/7, we are creating scripts and trying to figure out how to shoot them and be on a schedule and it's 100 people at full throttle all the time. We're making the equivalent of a feature film every three weeks. And that's exciting for me."
'Miss USA' No Match For 'Miami'
Seems petroleum slathered teeth, Vaseline covered thighs, and promises of world peace weren't enough to beat CSI: Miami. The show's rerun of Entrance Wound managed to beat the Miss USA pageant with 8.8/13 of the share.
Critics Bemoan 'Average' DVD Release
The long awaited DVD set release of CSI's first season disappointed some DVD critics. Gord Lacey, of TVShowsonDVD.com lamented the lack of extras. "This is the type of show that could have some killer commentary tracks from technical advisors and the cast and crew. There could have been a great featurette on the science of the show, but instead we get a promotional featurette. Maybe CBS Video thought the show would sell itself, and they're probably right. Maybe we'll get more when the second season is released."

Today's Television Listings
CBS will tonight air Miami's brand new episode, "Game Over". Here's a brief synopsis:
"Extreme skateboarder and videogame tester, Jake Sullivan, is found dead on the half-pipe platform used to program extreme skateboarding video games. The CSIs discover that he was wearing reflective sensors when he was killed, so the motion-capture device used to produce these videogames recorded the murder as it happened, but not the murderer. Now the CSIs delve into the highly competitive world of videogame programmers and testers to find the killer."
Please note that CBS will again pre-empt CSI on Thursday night, but they are airing a repeat of "No More Bets" on Wednesday at 9/8c. In case you missed it the first time, here's a description of the episode:
"Two gamblers are found dead shortly after scamming several of Sam Braun's casinos, making Sam a suspect in their murder."
Right after CSI, New York returns from a brief hiatus with a new episode, "The Dove Commission". Here's a preview:
"The Dove Commission is an independent group formed of judges and attorneys with one purpose: to expose the weaknesses of the NYPD. While the group celebrates their findings at a posh New York City bar located in a Manhattan high rise, the head of the commission is shot and killed, launching a massive search that makes every officer listed in the report a suspect. Meanwhile, Danny and Aiden investigate the murder of a gypsy cab driver."
In addition, Spike TV will be repeating CSI episodes at least twice daily for the rest of the week. A full listing of their upcoming episodes can be found here at SpikeTV.com.
