While the original CSI is still off the air in favor of college basketball, CBS will be airing new episodes of both CSI: Miami and CSI: New York the coming week.

First up on Monday at 10:00pm is Miami's "Game Over," the 18th episode of the season. Here's how CBS describes the episode:

Extreme skateboarder and videogame tester, Jake Sullivan, is found dead on the half-pipe platform used to program extreme skateboarding video games. The CSIs discover that he was wearing reflective sensors when he was killed, so the motion-capture device used to produce these videogames recorded the murder as it happened, but not the murderer. Now the CSIs delve into the highly competitive world of videogame programmers and testers to find the killer

"Game Over" was directed by Jonathan Glassner, who made his CSI directing debut earlier this year with Miami's "Cop Killer," after already having written several episodes of the show. For this episode, writing duties were shared between Michael Ostrowski ("Pirated," "One Night Stand") andCorey Miller ("Under the Influence," "Shootout.").

Below is a list of the guest actors appearing in this episode:

  • Tony Hawk as Jake Sullivan
  • Robert Mailhouse as Dave Strong
  • Ethan Cohn as Todd Simmons
  • Brian Poth as Tyler Jenson
  • Jennifer Sky as Sara Piper
  • Kerr Smith as Matthew Wilton
  • Michael Wiseman as Connor Meade
  • Kate Norby as Julie Sullivan
  • Boti Bliss as Valera
  • Hal Ozsan as Brandon Pace
  • Lisa Rotondi as Rachel Thomas
  • Kyle J. Downes as Ron Benson
  • Brooke Bloom as Cynthia Wells
  • James Grimaldi as Bill Waller
  • Paul Hipp as Vince Fisher
  • Scott McIntosh as Officer
Of these guest stars, the most famous is of course skateboarder Tony Hawk, whose appearance CBS has been hyping for over a month now (story). Some of the other guest should be familiar from their recurring Miami roles: Brian Poth, Botie Bliss and Brooke Bloom. As of this episode, Jennifer Sky can also be added to that list, as she reprises the role of Sara Piper that she first played in Miami's second-season finale, "Innocent" - but it seems unlikely she will be making any further appearances in the future. Finally, Scott McIntosh also previously played an officer in Miami's "One Night Stand," but it is unclear whether this is the same character, or if this is even a credited role.

Of the other actors, two have previously appeared on the original CSI. Robert Mailhouse was the Restaurant Manager Les Dutton in the third-season episode "Recipe for Murder," while Lisa Rotondi played Viva Charles in last season's "Bad Words." Finally, this episode will reunite two actors who first become famous on the WB's Dawson's Creek: Kerr Smith, who had a starring role on that show as Jack McPhee, and Hal Ozsan, who had a recurring role in the show's final season as Todd Carr.

Two days later, on Wednesday at 10:00pm, CBS will be showing New York's "The Dove Commission" - an episode that was previously known as "The Mollen Commission." Here's what you can expect from the episode:

The Dove Commission is an independent group formed of judges and attorneys with one purpose: to expose the weaknesses of the NYPD. While the group celebrates their findings at a posh New York City bar located in a Manhattan high rise, the head of the commission is shot and killed, launching a massive search that makes every officer listed in the report a suspect. Meanwhile, Danny and Aiden investigate the murder of a gypsy cab driver.

This episode was helmed by none other than actor Emilio Estevez, who has been slowly buildng a name for himself as a director. Although this is his first CSI episode, he's previously done episodes of both The Guardian and Cold Case. The writing team for this episode consisted of Zachary Reiter ("Grand Master," "ReCycling") and series creator Anthony E. Zuiker ("Blink," "Tanglewood," and several more this season).

The following guest actors will be making an appearance in "The Dove Commission:"

  • Grant Albrecht as Dr. Leonard Giles
  • Chad Lindberg as Chad Willingham
  • Mike Starr as Chief Vince Robinson
  • Alanna Ubach as Constance Briell
  • David Packer as Morty Sherman
  • Clay Wilcox as Paul Baxter
  • Sydney Walsh as Laural Stanwyk
  • Patrice Fisher as Jamie Banks/Savannah
  • Lesllie Bega as Grace Walderson
  • Joy Gohring as Donna
  • Jeremy Ray Valdez as Antonio Reyes
  • Pete Gardner as Gavin Arnold
  • Timon Kyle Durrett as TARU Office Jasper
  • Mark Rolston as Inspector Bill Markoni
  • Dar Dixon as Commission Member
  • Ben Robin as Strip Club Owner
  • Norman Howell as Dan Stanwyk
  • Diana Lupo as Charlotte
  • Toby Holguin as Fernando Reyes

Grant Albrecht and Chad Lindberg are both recurring CSI: New York actors, a status Lindberg achieves with this episode, now he's reprising his role from "Hush." Three of the above actors have previously appeared on New York, although this is their first credited guest starring role: Norman Howell is the show's stunt coordinator, while Diana Lupo and Toby Holguin both work on the show as stunt performers.

Quite a few of the other guest actors have been on one or more of the other CSI shows before. David Packer was Hugo Karlin in the original CSI's third-season episode Random Acts of Violence," while Clay Wilcox was Bobby Jeter in Miami's second-season installment "Deadline." Patrice Fisher was a sports bar waitress last year on the original CSI's "All For Our Country," and Leslie Bega actually had a three-episode recurring role as Leah back in the original CSI's third season. Jeremy Ray Valdez was Carlos Gonzalez in Miami's "Blood Moon" in the second season, while that same year Timon Kyle played Durrett in "Bait." Finally, Dar Dixon played Chef Petrov Samsko in the original CSI's third-season episode "Recipe for Murder."

If two new CSI episodes aren't enough for you (and you aren't able to watch the five-day CSI marathon on Spike), CBS is offering you one further chance to see CSI the coming week: on Wednesday, an hour before "The Dove Commission," they will be repeating the fourth-season original CSI episode "No More Bets." In this episode, two gamblers are found dead shortly after scamming several of Sam Braun's casinos, making Sam a suspect in their murder.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
