Grissom and Catherine are called to investigate a murder in an art house theatre in this week's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "A Night At The Movies".

TV Guide recently published the below synopsis of the episode, which will air on Thursday, April 10:

The CSIs investigate two murders - one in a movie theater, the other in an abandoned warehouse - that are even more bizarre and perplexing than usual. The first case takes Grissom and Catherine to a dingy art house, where a moviegoer was stabbed in the back of the head with a screwdriver. Apparently, the man was killed during a noisy on-screen gunfight, perhaps by a tall redheaded woman seen leaving the theater during that scene. Across town, a team tries to unravel the mystery of a badly bruised 15-year-old boy found shot to death in a bullet-riddled warehouse, where more than 100 rounds were fired from every conceivable angle, including the roof.

"A Night At The Movies" was written by CSI creator and executive producer Anthony E. Zuiker with two other executive producers, Danny Cannon and Carol Mendelsohn. Matt Earl Beesley, who normally serves as CSI's first assistant director, helmed the episode.

A list of the episode's guest cast can be found below, including a list of featured roles and guest appearances in other shows and films:

  • Todd Giebenhain - Malcolm In The Middle
  • Kevin Christy - Seven Days
  • Skip O'Brien as Sergeant O'Riley
  • Erik Smith - A Walk To Remember
  • Romy Rosemont as Jacqui Franco
  • Archie Kao as Archie Johnson
  • Megan Ward - Boomtown, Party of Five, Melrose Place
  • Michael Hennessy
  • Cyia Batten - The Guardian, NYPD Blue, Deep Space Nine
  • Xhercis - Boston Public
  • Finn Carter - Judging Amy, Chicago Hope
  • Charlie Hofheimer - Black Hawk Down

The episode features the return of several CSI recurring characters. Skip O'Brien's character, Sergeant O'Riley, has been a regular fixture since the "Pilot". Romy Rosemont first appeared as Jacqui Franco in "The Execution of Catherine Willows" and later featured in "Random Acts of Violence" and "One Hit Wonder". Archie Kao has guest starred as Archie Johnson in numerous episodes of CSI's second and third seasons, most recently appearing in "Lady Heather's Box".

Advance plot information on the episode is available here, while a transcript of the trailer can be found at this page.

Why can't the CSIs get dates?
All work and no play makes Greg a blue boy.
It probably has something to do with the fact that every time Horatio Caine has sex with a woman, she dies.
Shower sex loses its allure when there's lemons involved.
These people collect body fluids for a living. Then again, if David the coroner can get laid...
They can get dates, I bet. We just don't see it.
Three words: Hank the Skank.
