Take A Look At Tonight’s ‘CSI:Cyber’ & The ‘Criminal Minds’ Season Finale

10 min read

Criminal Minds airs the final episode of season ten tonight, followed by a brand new episode of CSI: Cyber. You can find sneak peeks, quotes, tweets and photos after the jump!

Criminal Minds wraps up season ten with “The Hunt” at 9:00pm ET/PT. TV Line shared this scene, featuring Dr Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), JJ Jareau (AJ Cook) and Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt). (Embedded from SpoilerTV.)

Next, check out this sneak peek from Zap2It, which features Kate, Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) and Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson):

Entertainment Weekly also has an exclusive clip, featuring Kate, Hotch, Garcia, Morgan, Reid, JJ, David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) and guest star Molly Culver (SSA Tia Canning). You can watch it here.

Here’s the first of two scenes shared by CBS, featuring Kate and her husband Chris (Greg Grunberg). (You can also find it on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)

CBS posted a behind-the-scenes video for the finale, which features Executive Producer Erica Messer, Vangsness, Hewitt and Cook. (You can also watch it on TV Guide, CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)

The finale wraps up a storyline introduced at the beginning of season ten. “We will bring back the creepy, Internet stalker guy from the premiere. That story will be tied together,” Messer explained to Zap2It last month.

“You learn in the finale that it was still on Kate’s radar and a little on Hotch’s as well,” Messer told TV Guide. “Neither of them really let it go after the premiere.” Messer promised that the season won’t end on a cliffhanger.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that Meg (Hailey Sole) is in danger, Kate cannot be a major part of the investigation. Here’s a quote from Messer, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly:

The stress of Meg missing is now not good for the health of her and her fetus. The idea is she actually has to sit this out. She can’t be in the line of fire. It infuriates her, but at the same time, the team is right. She has to sit it out. But emotionally, and even investigatively, she can tell the team things they may have never have known about Meg and her strengths. All of those things are helpful and she’s still very much a part of the episode, but she’s not throwing on a bulletproof vest and chasing the bad guys.

In addition to the main plot, the finale will reveal that JJ is pregnant with her second child. (Like costar Hewitt, Cook is expecting a child in real life.) There are hints throughout the episode, as JJ works to help Kate find her niece. “She’s very determined and you think it’s her commiserating as a fellow mother, but by the end of the finale you know that she’s having another baby,” Messer told TV Guide. “There’ll be a nice little moment.”

As Messer revealed to TV Line, “We’re able to tease [JJ being pregnant] a little bit…. There’s a moment where she shares it with Reid, and it’s really lovely.”

Vangsness did an interview with Smashing Interviews Magazine last month, and here’s a quote about the end of the season. (Contains potential spoilers!)

Melissa Parker (Smashing Interviews Magazine): Final thoughts on this season?

Kirsten Vangsness: We had a really nice season this year. It was another one of those weird seasons. I’m the only girl that hasn’t left, like ever. I’m just so amazed by that. It was fun to have Jennifer Love Hewitt there. She’s leaving after this season. It was really fun to have Jennifer, and she was a great addition to the team, but she’s moving on because she’s having another child in July.

What’s also going to be weird is that A. J. Cook is having a baby in July. She’ll come back, but everybody’s trying to finagle it saying, “How do we put her in the first episode?” There are some things underway that we’re actually trying to do so that she’ll be there without actually being there in the first episode, but I can’t say anything more than that. We had a really fun season that went by really fast as they always do. We’re all madly in love with each other, and I think that shows. I’m just really happy that I get to be around all of them so much.
