New York composer Bill Brown also worked on the movie, and he posted some pictures from the studio on Facebook. Abraham Shares Classic ‘CSI’ Pics
Tuesday, July 5th, 2011CSI: Crime Scene Investigation co-executive producer Dustin Lee Abraham shared some older set pictures on Twitter. The first image is from the set of season eight’s “Drops’ Out” and features Abraham alongside George Eads (Nick Stokes), actor and technical consultant Larry Mitchell (Officer Mitchell) and guest star Method Man. The next three pictures are from the season eight finale “For Gedda” and feature Eads as well as Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass) and former actors William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown). Sinise Celebrates July 4th With Release Of ‘For The Common Good’
Monday, July 4th, 2011As CSI Files previously reported, the documentary Lt Dan Band: For the Common Good featuring CSI: New York’s Gary Sinise is now available on the movie’s official website. Fans around the world can watch For the Common Good online for $3.99 (USD) during the next 30 days. “This way, anybody anywhere in the world can go on the website and watch it,” Sinise explained to Zap2It. “We have people deployed all over the world, service members who might be interested. They can all go online.” He added, “It’s a very interesting experiment here. Hope it works.”
Mayor Goodman Revisits ‘CSI’
Sunday, July 3rd, 2011Oscar Goodman will soon step down as mayor of Las Vegas after a 12 year term. Goodman has appeared in several episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, most recently last season’s “Sqweegel”, in which he played himself. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the soon-to-be-former mayor will return to the crime drama early in the upcoming twelfth season for a “one-shot” appearance. “I understand that there’s a CSI part that’s being written for me which will be filmed in August,” Goodman said. “I think I get killed.”
Interview: Dustin Lee Abraham
Friday, July 1st, 2011Next to showrunner and executive-producer Carol Mendelsohn, Dustin Lee Abraham is one of the few writers left on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation who have several seasons of work under their belt. The upcoming twelfth season, premiering September 21st, marks Abraham’s eighth season working for the show, that dates all the way back to season four’s “No More Bets.” Back at work and writing his first script of the season, Abraham gives a tease of what’s to come for the Las Vegas series with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders.
Interview: Elizabeth Devine
Friday, July 1st, 2011CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has a new addition to its writing staff this year but she is no stranger to the flagship series. Elizabeth Devine is back in the writers’ room working on season twelve of the show that introduced her to the world of writing. After leaving the original CSI in 2004, Devine headed to CSI: Miami where she spent numerous seasons developing stories for the sun-kissed series, and even penning the 2005 CSI: Miami/CSI: New York crossover “Manhattan Manhunt.” After leaving her full-time duties at Miami in 2007, Devine returned once more to CSI in its tenth season to work on the episode “Lost & Found” with Corinne Marrinan. Devine, a former Los Angeles County criminalist, is on staff this season working as a consulting-producer. Taking time out of her very busy schedule, Devine granted CSI Files’ Shane Saunders an interview about her return to the series.
La Rue Nominated For Imagen Award
Friday, July 1st, 2011Eva La Rue was nominated for an Imagen Award in the “Best Supporting Actress/Television” category for her role as Natalia Boa Vista on CSI: Miami. The awards honor “positive portrayals of Latinos and Latino cultures in entertainment.” The 26th Annual Imagen Awards will be presented on Friday, August 12 at a black-tie gala in Beverly Hills, California.
