CSI fans will have to live with one more Miami repeat and an outright pre-emption of New York this week, but on Thursday, CBS will be airing an all-new episode of the original CSI - signaling the start of a full month of new CSI episodes.

Thursday will be the first day of the February Sweeps, the four-week period during which local television ratings are measured in greater detail. As these local ratings play a large part in setting advertising prices, the TV networks always do their best to air as much new material as possible. CBS will be kicking off the February sweeps by airing "Nesting Dolls," an episode they described as follows:

When two female corpses are uncovered in a new housing development construction area, the CSIs are led into the world of Russian mail-order brides, where young women get work visas and come to America hoping to land a man who will marry them and give them citizenship. Meanwhile, Sara is reprimanded by Ecklie for an inappropriate comment and ends up opening up to Grissom about her long-held family secret.

"Nesting Dolls" was helmed by Bill Eagles, who made his CSI directing debut earlier this season with "Formalities." The script was written by CSI co-producer Sarah Goldfinger, who this season also wrote "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?"

Below is a full listing of the guest stars appearing on "Nesting Dolls:"

  • David Berman as David Phillips
  • Wallace Langham as David Hodges
  • Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie
  • Eric Stonestreet as Ronnie Litra
  • Zeljko Ivanek as Andrew Melton
  • Lisa Thornhill as Chloe Endicott
  • Justin Louis as Ken Wellstone
  • Bill Dearth as Joe
  • Ben Reed as Willis
  • Taneka Johnson as Annie
  • Natasha Alam as Svetlana Melton
  • Christina Stacy as June Melton
  • Misha Collins as Vlad
  • Sanya Mateyas as Alexandra

With the obvious exception of recurring guest actors Berman, Langham, Vann and Stonestreet, none of the above actors seem to have previously appeared on any of the three CSI series. However, two of the guest actors do have an earlier connection with each other - Zeljko Ivanek and Misha Collins played the brothers Andre and Alexis Drazen during the first season of 24. It is not known if they also share any scenes in "Nesting Dolls."

"Nesting Dolls" will air on Thursday at 9:00pm on CBS. An hour before that, the network will be showing a special repeat of the fourth-season episode "Dead Ringer," in which Grissom discovers the dead body of a Los Angeles cop in the desert during a nighttime 120-mile relay race for police officers and the investigation turns up signs of foul play. Back at the hotel where the officers are staying, two more bodies are found in what appears to be a murder-suicide between male and female cops who may have been lovers. But Warrick and Sara believe it may be a double homicide.

Tonight, CBS will air a repeat of Miami's "Hell Night," in which the wife of a famous Miami baseball player is brutally killed in her home and her philandering husband is charged with the crime. On Wednesday, the network had originally planned to repeat CSI: New York's "A Man A Mile," but instead the network will now be providing live coverage of the State of the Union.
