CSI: Miami has chosen a new coroner to join the show on a recurring basis during season eight.

Christian Clemenson has been cast as a medical examiner who will appear in at least two episodes during Miami's upcoming season. The show's previous ME, Dr Tara Price (Megalyn Echikunwoke), was last seen in "Dissolved" when she was arrested for stealing drugs from a murder victim. Clemenson previously appeared in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode "Committed" during the show's fifth season.

Over on CSI: New York, some fans are wondering if Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) will see his step-son Reed Garrett (Kyle Gallner) during the upcoming sixth season or if Don Flack (Eddie Cahill) will meet up with his sister Samantha (Kathleen Munroe). Unfortunately, neither character is scheduled to return at this point in time, but executive producer Pam Veasey hasn't ruled out the possibility. "These two characters are always on our minds," Veasey told TV Guide. "And if they do return this season, it will be quite riveting."

As CSI Files previously reported, Nick Stokes (George Eads) will get a promotion at the start of CSI's tenth season. The character will become second-in-command to new team leader Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger). He will work with Catherine the same way she used to work with the former boss, Gil Grissom (William Petersen). "It is a promotion for him to a supervisory position," a representative from CBS told TV Guide.

The information about Clemenson is from the Hollywood Reporter. The details about Nick's promotion are from TV Guide, as is the quote about Sam and Reed on New York.
