Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is looking into a new addition to the new fall season with five television pilots hoping to earn the spot.

Already a TV-making success story with the three CSIs, Without a Trace, Cold Case, and The Amazing Race, Jerry Bruckheimer is currently working on five television pilots, including two sitcoms, a first for the producer. Bruckheimer's best shot, The E-Ring, is a military drama that will take viewers behind the scenes at the Pentagon. The pilot is being shot for NBC and stars Benjamin Bratt and Dennis Hopper.

Two more drama pilots will bear the Bruckheimer label this pilot season. Just Legal, which might get picked up by the WB, will see the life of an ambulance-chasing lawyer and his relationship with a newly hired 18-year-old law school grad. The pilot stars Don Johnson and Undeclared's Jay Baruchel. Meanwhile, CBS has its eye open for American Crime, which revolves around the life of prosecutor and new mom. The pilot might star Jennifer Finnigan, who currently is working on another pilot for NBC called Committed.

The producer is also working on two comedy pilots, which is a first for the Bruckheimer emporium. Evolution of Man stars Just Shoot Me's Wendie Malick as a life coach for three underachieving guys. If picked, the sitcom will air on the WB. CBS is also seeing the pilot about adult siblings who have to deal with their newly divorced dad. Though Bruckheimer has never produced a sitcom before, Hollywood is hopeful, "With his ability to find talent, I wouldn't underestimate him," said John Rash of ad agency Campbell Mithun.
