Sources today revealed the first spoilers for the nineteenth episode of CSI: Miami's first season, entitled "Double Cap".

In the episode, a woman is found murdered beside a hotel pool, with a large wound to her skull seemingly caused by a gunshot. The first suspects are the pool attendants — especially since one is found to have stolen her wristwatch — but a test for gunshot residue on their hands turns up nothing.

Speedle and the CSI lab's audio-visual technician, Tyler Jenson, examine the tapes from the hotel's security cameras in order to shed more light on what happened. They see the woman — Gloria Tynan — settle down by the pool underneath a half-shell cabana, which then hides her from the security camera's view. However, the tape reveals one piece of information - one of the pool attendants brought her a cordless phone. Speedle rushes off to check the phone records.

The caller turns out to be Patricia Cusack, Gloria Tynan's mother. Only her daughter's name wasn't Gloria, but Gina, and she was placed in a protection programme because she was the mistress of a key witness in an important case. Horatio Caine now faces a dilemma — he needs to find out who killed Gina, but the Feds want everything kept hush-hush...

"Double Cap" will reportedly feature a sub-plot of a more personal nature, as we are introduced to Calleigh's alcoholic father, Kenwall "Duke" Duquesne.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from an early draft of the script and details may change before the episode goes to air.

"Double Cap" is currently scheduled to air on March 31, 2003.
