In the next episode of CSI: New York, entitled "Trapped," an error in judgment gets one of the CSIs trapped in a panic room with a dead body -- and 13 hours to find the killer.

Henry Hudson is one of Manhattan's many billionaires, but what sets this one apart from the others is his eccentricity. A nut for personal safety, Mr. Hudson's house comes equipped with a bedroom inside a panic room, which closes its doors automatically every night and opens them up every morning for his protection. Mr. Hudson also has a personal bodyguard, but no amount of muscle or steel can keep death away, at least that's evident to his maid when she finds Hudson's body inside his panic room in the morning – his throat slashed.

Danny, Stella, and Flack arrive at the scene. Stella interrogates Patti Yachinelli, Hudson's favorite maid, who is deeply shaken by the death of her beloved boss. Stella is surprised by Patti's devotion to Mr. Hudson, but as Patti explains, Mr. Hudson was kind to all his employees, so kind that they all stood to inherit large sums of money after his death. Good news for Patti and the rest of the help but not so much for Stella – now she has a house full of employees with billions of reasons to kill their employer. As Patti stood to inherit the most money from Hudson, Stella instantly makes her the primary suspect.

Danny begins to process the scene of the crime, Hudson's bedroom. The CSI moves towards the bathroom, where he pushes on a red button to make the lights come on. But instead of light, the CSI is greeted with alarms, blaring, the sound of metal rolling – Danny has accidentally activated Hudson's panic room. He tries to run out of the room as quickly as possible, but the doors come down with a clang, trapping him inside with Hudson's dead body.

Stella finds the man who installed the panic room, but it'll take him 13 hours to free Danny, as no one but Mr. Hudson knew the security code. With no time to waste, Danny continues to work and finds a smaller pool of blood from a second donor. The killer, he speculates, probably got hurt while trying to kill Hudson. But Stella's primary suspect, Patti, doesn't have a cut consistent with the blood pool. Could the killer have done this alone or did he have a partner? Stella has 13 hours to prove Patti was involved, find her partner, and free Danny from a mansion crawling with murder suspects.

Meanwhile, Mac, Hawkes and Lindsay investigate the murder of a stripper whose tricks on stage may have led to her death. Kandy's act at the Raunch N' Roll strip club include a jelly wrestling match with one lucky patron. The night of her murder, Kandy chooses John Grimm. Young and maybe too eager, John's friendly game with Kandy suddenly turns dangerous. Lucky for Kandy, John is quickly thrown out of the club. Kandy's luck runs out quickly, however, when she's murdered on the rooftop of the Raunch N' Roll.

Mac talks to the manager of the strip club, who tells the detective the events of the night before were nothing new – they constantly have to deal with men like Grimms. The manager is sporting a brand new cut on his lip, which he also blames on having to deal with drunk and horny men all night long. At the lab, the ME discovers a tattoo on Kandy's inner thigh – a letter A. A tattoo in such an intimate area could also spell out the name of a lover. Could this be a crime of passion? In order to answer that question Mac will have to find the meaning of the letter A.
