(Minor spoilers after the jump!)<\/p>\n<p>\n<!--more-->Dr Sheldon Hawkes (<b>Hill Harper<\/b>) is called to witness the execution of Perrineau&#8217;s character, Reggie Tifford, who has a secret to reveal to the CSI before he dies. Unfortunately for Hawkes, he&#8217;s in the wrong place at the wrong time as a prison riot erupts, and he is trapped inside&#8212;along with serial killer Shane Casey (<b>Edward Furlong<\/b>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season3\/raising_shane.shtml\">&#8220;Raising Shane&#8221;<\/a>). &#8220;It&#8217;s life or death&#8212;this could be my last episode,&#8221; Harper teased to <i>TV Guide Magazine<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>\nWhat Reggie has to tell Hawkes is &#8220;a pretty big secret&#8221;, Harper said, and it will explain why his character does not have much of a life outside of his job. Revealing the truth to Hawkes is the last thing Reggie needs to do before his execution. &#8220;He&#8217;s pretty prepared to die for his crime,&#8221; Perrineau explained. &#8220;You&#8217;d think he&#8217;s a homicidal maniac, but he&#8217;s a guy who had a really bad drug problem and he&#8217;s about to pay for all of the mistakes he has made.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\nThe actor was glad to get a chance to work alongside Harper on <i>New York<\/i>. &#8220;It was a lot of fun,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been waiting to work with Hill for a long time&#8212;we&#8217;ve known each other for years and have been up against each other for a lot of different things, so it was fantastic to get a chance to work with him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8220;Redemptio&#8221; airs Wednesday, April 14 at 10:00pm ET\/PT.
