It has now been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/hr\/content_display\/news\/e3iafcbd501634f9b0827e3fa03f589a848\">confirmed<\/a> that O&#8217;Loughlin will play Detective Steve McGarrett in the reboot, which features <i>CSI: New York<\/i> showrunner <b>Peter Lenkov<\/b> and <i>Star Trek<\/i> writers <b>Alex Kurtzman<\/b> and <b>Roberto Orci<\/b> as executive producers.
