{"id":8388,"date":"2009-11-26T16:19:38","date_gmt":"2009-11-27T00:19:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/?p=8388"},"modified":"2009-11-26T16:21:25","modified_gmt":"2009-11-27T00:21:25","slug":"study-aims-to-debunk-the-csi-effect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2009\/11\/study-aims-to-debunk-the-csi-effect\/","title":{"rendered":"Study Aims To Debunk The &#8216;CSI Effect&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A study that will be published next month in the <i>Vanderbilt University Journal of Entertainment &#038; Technology Law<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.detnews.com\/article\/20091126\/METRO\/911260390\/1409\/METRO\/Study--No--CSI-Effect--on-juries\">challenges<\/a> the so-called &#8220;CSI Effect&#8221;, which suggests that jurors are influenced by what they see on shows like <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/i> and its spinoffs.
