The 10-hour series aired over five consecutive nights and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.multichannel.com\/article\/390290-History_s_WW_In_HD_Hits_Home_With_Viewers.php\">earned an average<\/a> of 2.4 million viewers. According to History Channel officials, more than 24.1 million people viewed some portion of the series. <i>WWII in HD<\/i> earned an average of 840,000 viewers among adults 18-49 and 970,000 viewers among adults 25-54 over the course of the week.<\/p>\n<p>\nCompared to its usual primetime programming, <i>WWII in HD<\/i> earned 100% more viewers for the History Channel (which pulls in 1.2 million viewers on average) during its run.
