Stuart M Kaminsky<\/b>, who may be familiar to fans of CSI: New York<\/i> as the author of three tie-in novels (Dead of Winter<\/i>, Blood on the Sun<\/i> and Deluge<\/i>), died last Friday, October 9. The 75-year-old author passed away due to complications from hepatitis and a stroke he suffered recently.<\/p>\n
\nKaminsky contracted hepatitis while serving as an army medic in France in the 1950s. He and his wife, Enid<\/b>, moved to St Louis, Missouri to await a liver transplant in March; however, the author suffered a stroke two days after their arrival, which made him ineligible for the transplant.<\/p>\n
\nKaminsky is survived by his wife, his daughters Natasha<\/b> and Lucy<\/b>, his sons Peter<\/b> and Toby<\/b>, and three grandchildren.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
