The new season gets underway this week as fates are revealed and a familiar face returns to the flagship series. Official plot details and cast lists after the jump.<\/p>\n
\nStarting out the week on Monday at 10:00pm ET\/PT, CSI: Miami<\/I> will answer the question of what happened to Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez<\/b>) in the season eight premiere, “Out of Time”<\/a>:<\/p>\n As Delko’s life hangs in the balance, Horatio flashes back 12 years to reveal how Miami’s CSIs first met and became a team.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \nSam Hill<\/b> has directed 19 previous episodes of Miami<\/I>, including “Collateral Damage”<\/a> from last season. This is Tamara Jaron<\/b>‘s fifth writing credit for the series. Her last credit was for the season seven episode “Target Specific”<\/a>.<\/p>\n \nThe following actors will guest star in the season eight premiere:<\/p>\n \nThe premiere marks the first time new series regular Eddie Cibrian<\/b> will appear as Jesse Cardoza. Khandi Alexander reprises her role as Dr Alexx Woods. Harold Sylvester appeared in the episode “Slow Burn”<\/a> during Miami<\/I>‘s second season. Denis O’Hare was in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/I> episode “Who and What”<\/a> during season eight, and Brad Henke was in the fourth season episode “Fur and Loathing”<\/a>. The other actors are new to the franchise.<\/p>\n \nOn Wednesday at 10:00pm ET\/PT, CSI: New York<\/I> will start its sixth season with “Epilogue”<\/a>, and fans will find out who was injured during the shootout at the end of season five:<\/p>\n Following a spray of machine gunfire, the CSI team rises from the chaos. But when one member’s life is significantly changed, it proves to be the emotional motivation they need to piece together their lives and ultimately find the shooter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \nThis is David Von Ancken<\/b>‘s seventh turn in the director’s chair for New York<\/I>. His last credit was for “The Past, Present and Murder”<\/a> from last season. Executive producer Pam Veasey<\/b> has written 26 previous episodes, including the season five episode “Greater Good”<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n“Epilogue” will feature the following guest stars:<\/p>\n \nSarah Carter starts her recurring role as Haylen Becall in the season premiere. Andrew Lawrence has never appeared in the CSI<\/I> franchise, but his older brother Joseph Lawrence<\/b> had a recurring role as Clay Dobson during the third season of CSI: NY<\/I>, including the episode “Comes Around”<\/a>.<\/p>\n \nRounding out the week on Thursday at 9:00pm ET\/PT, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/I> welcomes back an old friend as the season ten premiere becomes a “Family Affair”<\/a>:<\/p>\n The CSI team, with the unexpected but welcome return of Sara, comes together to investigate the death of a famous young actress killed in a dubious traffic collision.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \nKenneth Fink<\/b> has directed 48 episodes of CSI<\/I>, including last season’s “Disarmed and Dangerous”<\/a>. Writing duo Bradley Thompson<\/b> and David Weddle<\/b> penned the teleplay for “Family Affair” based on a story by executive producer Naren Shankar<\/b>. Supervising producers Thompson and Weddle have 3 writing credits, most recently for “A Space Oddity”<\/a> from season nine. Shankar has 41 credits, including a story credit for the season nine finale, “All In”<\/a>.<\/p>\n \nThe episode will feature the following actors in guest-starring roles:<\/p>\n \nJorja Fox reprises her role as Sara Sidle in the first of several guest appearances scheduled for season ten. Marc Vann and Jon Wellner are returning in established recurring roles. Larry Sullivan is back as Officer Akers, who was last seen in “The Descent of Man”<\/a>. News anchor Paula Francis has played herself in 18 episodes of the show, including “All In”. Michael Bryan French played Dr Franks in five episodes of CSI<\/I>, most recently last season’s “No Way Out”<\/a>. Garret Dillahunt has appeared on CSI<\/I> (“Precious Metal”<\/a>) and New York<\/I> (“What You See is What You See”<\/a>), while Toni Wynne was in CSI<\/I> (“Inside the Box”<\/a>) and Miami<\/I> (“Down to the Wire”<\/a>).
