{"id":7385,"date":"2009-09-12T18:38:06","date_gmt":"2009-09-13T01:38:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/?p=7385"},"modified":"2009-09-14T10:38:01","modified_gmt":"2009-09-14T17:38:01","slug":"rodriguez-looks-forward-to-new-roles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2009\/09\/rodriguez-looks-forward-to-new-roles\/","title":{"rendered":"Rodriguez Looks Forward To New Roles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: yellow;\">Adam Rodriguez<\/span> (Eric Delko) will say goodbye to <em>CSI: Miami<\/em> this season, but he plans to continue his film and television career.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As CSI Files previously <a class=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/news\/020909_02.shtml\">reported<\/a>, Rodriguez will appear in a limited number of episodes during the upcoming eighth season. &#8220;I have seven episodes left,&#8221; Rodriguez told the <a class=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/\">New York Post<\/a>. &#8220;After this year, that&#8217;s it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a great eight years to spend there,&#8221; the actor told the <a class=\"link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sacurrent.com\/\">San Antonio Current<\/a>. &#8220;It was my life. I&#8217;m definitely going to be sad to go. I&#8217;m going to miss the people I work with everyday. I&#8217;m lucky in a sense that I&#8217;m getting to have a slow departure. I&#8217;ll be there in and out for 10 episodes throughout the season. You&#8217;ll get to see Delko fade away slowly, so hopefully it won&#8217;t be as painful as just having the character disappear.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rodriguez is in the <span style=\"color: yellow;\">Tyler Perry<\/span> film <em>I Can Do Bad All By Myself<\/em>, which is currently in theaters. Now that he is leaving <em>Miami<\/em>, the actor plans to do more movies. &#8220;I had such a great time making this film,&#8221; he said. &#8220;If I can continue to have these kinds of experiences making movies then, yeah, I would love to have a career in film. With that said, I&#8217;m open to doing great television, too.
