CSI Files previously reported<\/a> that the eighth season of NCIS: Los Angeles<\/i> would premiere on Sunday, October 2 in its new 8:00pm ET\/PT timeslot. However, the network announced<\/a> yesterday that they’ve moved the premiere up a week. It will now air on Sunday, September 25. There’s an NFL doubleheader<\/a> that weekend, so NCIS: LA<\/i> is scheduled to start at 8:30pm ET (7:30pm CT)\/8:00pm PT. (Further delays are possible in the ET\/CT timezones, depending on football overrun.)<\/p>\n

\nNCIS: LA<\/i> will have a two-hour season premiere from 8:30-10:30pm ET\/8:00-10:00pm PT, and the episodes are called “High-Value Target” and “Belly of the Beast”. CBS posted the official press release<\/a> yesterday, and here’s the synopsis:<\/p>\n

After NCIS fails to locate a mole in the department, Under Secretary of Defense Corbin Duggan (Jackson Hurst<\/b>) insists on new leadership and takes over the Los Angeles unit from Hetty and Granger. Also, the team travels to Syria to apprehend a High Value Target where one team member is severely injured when the mission goes awry.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n“High-Value Target” was written by Executive Producer R Scott Gemmill<\/b> and directed by Tawnia McKiernan<\/b>. “Belly of the Beast” was penned by Gemmill and helmed by Terrance O\u2019Hara<\/b>.
