At the end of Criminal Minds’<\/i> eleventh season, thirteen serial killers escaped from prison. Executive Producer Erica Messer<\/b> spoke to TV Line<\/a> last week, revealing that Luke Alvez, played by newcomer<\/a> Adam Rodriguez<\/b>, has already helped re-capture eight of the escapees prior to the start of season 12; this prompts David Rossi (Joe Mantegna<\/b>) to offer him a job with the BAU—an offer he is hesitant to accept at first, but ultimately decides to take. Messer also had this to say about Rodriguez’s debut:<\/p>\n

We meet Adam\u2019s character, Luke Alvez, in the field doing what he does, which is be a team leader on the [FBI] Fugitive Task Force. He ends up having this great action-y scene, where you really get to see him shine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
