The two-hour series finale<\/a> of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/i> will start filming in less than two weeks, on Wednesday, July 29. You can find information about several returning and non-returning cast members after the jump, along with a small collection of tweets and a photo!<\/p>\n

It has already been reported<\/a> that Marg Helgenberger<\/b> (Catherine Willows) and William Petersen<\/b> (Gil Grissom) would reprise their roles in the TV movie, and TV Line<\/a> announced today that they’ll be joined by former cast members Paul Guilfoyle<\/b> (Jim Brass) and Melinda Clarke<\/b> (Dr Heather Kessler, aka Lady Heather). Guilfoyle was written out<\/a> of CSI<\/i> in the season 14 finale, “Dead in His Tracks”<\/a>, and Clarke was last seen in the season 11 episode “Unleashed”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So far, the cast for the series finale will include the actors mentioned above, along with current stars Jorja Fox<\/b> (Sara Sidle), Ted Danson<\/b> (DB Russell), Eric Szmanda<\/b> (Greg Sanders), Elisabeth Harnois<\/b> (Morgan Brody), Robert David Hall<\/b> (Dr Al Robbins), David Berman<\/b> (David Phillips), Wallace Langham<\/b> (David Hodges) and Jon Wellner<\/b> (Henry Andrews). Two actors who will not be returning are George Eads<\/b> (Nick Stokes) and Elisabeth Shue<\/b> (Julie Finlay). EW.com<\/a> made the announcement about Shue’s departure, but it is not known how the finale will address her absence. Eads left<\/a> CSI<\/i> at the end of season 15, although it was hoped he would appear in the TV movie. According to TV Line<\/a>, his decision not to return required finale writer (and CSI<\/i> creator) Anthony Zuiker<\/b> to edit the finished script to remove Nick from the series-ending storyline.<\/p>\n
