According to <a href=\"http:\/\/deadline.com\/2015\/05\/peter-macnicol-csi-cyber-exit-season-2-ted-danson-1201426166\/\">Deadline<\/a>, MacNicol&#8217;s exit is the result of creative decisions behind the scenes, and has nothing to do with the news that <b>Ted Danson&#8217;<\/b>s <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/i> character, DB Russell, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2015\/05\/petersen-helgenberger-return-for-2-hour-csi-finale-danson-joins-csicyber\/\">joining<\/a> the <I>Cyber<\/i> team. Simon was Avery Ryan&#8217;s (<b>Patricia Arquette<\/b>) boss, but she will not have one now that MacNicol is leaving the show.
