Mark Valley, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Rob Nagle first introduced their characters in &#8220;The CSI Effect&#8221;. Patricia Arquette reprises her role as Avery Ryan, the head of the FBI&#8217;s Cyber Crime Division (and the lead of the upcoming spinoff, <I>CSI: Cyber<\/i>), who was first seen in the penultimate episode of season 14, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season14\/kitty.shtml\">&#8220;Kitty&#8221;<\/a>. Anadel Baughn previously played a convenience store clerk in season nine&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/csi\/season9\/let_it_bleed.shtml\">&#8220;Let It Bleed&#8221;<\/a>. Andrea Bogart has appeared on <I>CSI: New York<\/i> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/newyork\/season3\/not_what_it_looks_like.shtml\">&#8220;Not What It Looks Like&#8221;<\/a>) and <I>CSI: Miami<\/i> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/episodes\/miami\/season8\/mommie_deadest.shtml\">&#8220;Mommie Deadest&#8221;<\/a>).
