\nAs CSI Files previously reported<\/a>, someone close to the CSI<\/i> family will die in the premiere, and the episode opens with the funeral before flashing back to reveal the events leading up to that moment. “It will be clear whose memorial service it is at the very end of the show, and I think it will very much be a surprise and a shock to the audience,” McGill told TV Guide<\/a>.
