Former leading lady Marg Helgenberger<\/b> will reprise her role as Catherine Willows in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’<\/i>s upcoming 300th episode. (Spoilers after the jump!)<\/p>\n
\nCSI Files previously reported<\/a> that the 300th episode would involve a 14-year-old cold case. According to a press release<\/a> from the network, Catherine will return to help the team solve the crime. The milestone will be reached on October 23, which is the fifth episode of season 14; Gavin Harris<\/b> is the writer, and the episode will be directed<\/a> by Alec Smight<\/b>. Here’s the description:<\/p>\n It’s back to the beginning for CSI’<\/i>s 300th episode, when the team investigates a homicide in the home of a reclusive former casino mogul who was a suspect in a similar crime in 2000. The CSI team recalls who they were and where they were in order to solve the cold case. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n \n“We were just really excited to have Marg come back because, obviously, she’s such an important part of the history of CSI<\/i>,” Executive Producer Don McGill<\/b> told TV Line<\/a>. “And she was super excited. It was kismet!” The episode will feature a series of “faux-backs”, or recreated flashbacks, that show the characters 14 years ago.
