Smith departed\u00a0<em>CSI<\/em> after her one-year run during Season Nine. In\u00a0<em>The Strain<\/em> she&#8217;ll play Kelly Goodweather,\u00a0Dr. Ephraim Goodweather&#8217;s (<strong>Corey Stoll<\/strong>) ex-wife.\u00a0After winning a difficult custody battle she embarks on a new life with her boyfriend, but when she fails to heed her husband\u2019s warning about the contagion spreading in Manhattan, she pays the ultimate price.
