{"id":44243,"date":"2013-05-16T17:22:22","date_gmt":"2013-05-17T00:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/?p=44243"},"modified":"2013-05-16T17:22:22","modified_gmt":"2013-05-17T00:22:22","slug":"zuiker-its-not-how-you-start-but-how-you-end","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2013\/05\/zuiker-its-not-how-you-start-but-how-you-end\/","title":{"rendered":"Zuiker: It&#8217;s Not How You Start But How You End"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been almost ten years since <I>CSI<\/i> creator <b>Anthony Zuiker<\/b> first sat down with <i>CSI: New York<\/i> star <b>Gary Sinise<\/b> (Mac Taylor) about leading the Big Apple-based spinoff, and the pair spoke on the phone recently about the show&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csifiles.com\/content\/2013\/05\/cbs-cancels-csi-new-york\/\">cancellation<\/a>. &#8220;Gary was so thankful for the opportunity,&#8221; Zuiker told <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zap2it.com\/frominsidethebox\/2013\/05\/anthony-e-zuiker-so-sad-that-csi-ny-and-miami-are-gone.html\">Zap2It<\/a>. &#8220;He said it was pretty much the best TV experience of his life, and for me, it&#8217;s not so much how you start but how you end. To have a happy cast and something you can be very proud of is, I think, the best quality of life for this business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\nZuiker said he is &#8220;so sad&#8221; that both <I>CSI: NY<\/i> and <i>CSI: Miami<\/i> are gone now, leaving only <I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation<\/i> to return in the fall. However, he did praise CBS CEO <b>Les Moonves<\/b> for the way each spinoff was added to the franchise. &#8220;[H]e did it in such a way that all three were very strong for a long time,&#8221; Zuiker explained.
